The same morning, now on iPhone.

Better Morning is no longer an Android idea with an iOS copy beside it. Both apps now walk the same ritual, in the way each phone expects.

A morning app begins with a difficult promise: the alarm has to arrive before any of the calm language, careful design or good intention matters. On iPhone, Better Morning now makes that promise with Apple’s AlarmKit rather than pretending a normal notification is an alarm.

That means the wake-up belongs on the system surfaces people already trust. It appears on the Lock Screen, can be handled from the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones, and uses the same five wake tones as the Android app. The alarm is the door into the ritual, not a separate utility bolted onto it.

The ritual continues on the Lock Screen

Once the alarm is quiet, a morning often becomes physical: get out of bed, drink water, stretch, step outside. Keeping the phone open in one hand works against that. The iPhone app therefore carries the active ritual step and its timer into a Live Activity.

You can glance at what is next without returning to the app. Timers keep their place, and the ritual remains visible while the phone goes back into a pocket. It is a small platform-specific feature serving a larger principle: Better Morning should guide the morning without becoming the morning.

One product, native on both sides. Android handles exact alarms, Doze and reboot recovery. iPhone uses AlarmKit and Live Activities. The experience is shared; the reliability work respects the platform.

Your morning stays yours

The iPhone app includes the same ritual editor, personal values, daily thought, Day Launch, evening check-in and journal as Android. English, Slovak and German are shared from the same content catalog so the wording does not drift between devices.

The privacy model is shared too. There is no Better Morning account, analytics profile or developer backend receiving your writing. Your alarm settings, ritual, values and journal live in local app storage. A manual archive can move the record between platforms, but only when you choose a location and export it yourself.

What parity should mean

Pixel-for-pixel sameness would be the easy target and the wrong one. An alarm on Android has different system responsibilities from an alarm on iOS. Navigation, permissions and Lock Screen behavior should feel native. The sequence, language and values behind them should feel unmistakably like the same morning.

That is the standard we are using from here: a feature is complete when it fits Better Morning and fits the phone it runs on.
